the big P: for this label, I carefully read the instructions and documented the garment as it is supposed to be washed, strictly other purple clothing, in the washing machine, during the wash, left it to dry & eventually wearing it(not such a good foto). I took all the pictures with the flash, after doing some testshots, this is how the colour came out best, and made the care label readable! my goal with the pictures was to visualise the written instructions by only putting purple laundry with each other.   PHOTO EDIT  I liked this picture, because of the inside of the machine, and the clothes laying there with the care label explaining what's going on WASHING WASHING WASHING WASHING finished! dry the purple clothing. . dry and clean in the clothing closet!

               I wanted to play with the idea of the shirt not just being an inanimate object, but having a life and will of its own.  I sew the label on the outside, so that everyone can see it, it will stick out of anything and it will always have it's wearers back. I found that making short moving clips was more effective for the 'aliveness' of the shirt than a picture, so I decided to also make short videos, with a still. .                                      . the label I created for the shirt: How well does the garment perform when undergoing certain activities? what is its strenghts, and its liabilities? Or just more engagement between wearer and maker? So for the pictures, I thought it would be a nice/fun idea to do the activities as the label commands you to, and scored them afterwards(the ink from the pen is removable when washing).  I wanted to reflect the kind of playfulness in the pictures that you get when doing these fun activities, that's why the pictures are taken in similar settings or try to reflect the fun I had when making them.   the fit. the rules & the way its adapted to the garment  the scoreboard.  act 1: Dining.
