# Hand maks

Played with light, background and shape in order to obtain an oneiric atmosphere.

I would like to express how theses pics make me feel: they give me the feeling of falling down the rabbit hole like Alice (in Wonderland) and not being able to come back to the real/normal world.*

This creature climbed up from the water pond where its world is, and the path drags you: you know that if you walk it you won't be able to come back, and you don't wanna walk it but your brain and your whole body is so intrigued by exploring, experiencing and  feeling whats on the other side that your legs walk by themselves.

*I've just thought that one word must be created to describe this feeling of "falling down the rabbit hole". How important is language in our lives to live them fully. If you cannot describe how you feel, are you aware of it? Just a thought I really like...

this is a my third mask, I made this by knitting I wanted to do something with this period in my life, feeling isolated, alone sometimes this mask is what came out of that feeling the face is not visible, but you also can't see through the mask itself with the photo series I tried to show this feeling of being stuck and wanted to move, go out

  Mask 1. The first mask, the one we talked most about, the curtain-like thing, is still at school. I have not had the chance to make more elaborate photos with it yet. I n short, I wanted a waving surface in front of the face, in the shape of the line that goes from one ear, over the nose, to the other ear.      Mask 2. For this mask I asked people to write down what they were confident about in themselves. I used these ‘confidences’   in a short movie, creating (or un-creating) a mask. I came up with this because I liked the idea of the ego as a sort of mask and asked myself what would be left when we are stripped of our ego. Because our positive self-image - the things we are confident about - is closely related to our ego, I thought this would be a less abstract representation of it. the big P: for this label, I carefully read the instructions and documented the garment as it is supposed to be washed, strictly other purple clothing, in the washing machine, during the wash, left it to dry & eventually wearing it(not such a good foto). I took all the pictures with the flash, after doing some testshots, this is how the colour came out best, and made the care label readable! my goal with the pictures was to visualise the written instructions by only putting purple laundry with each other.   PHOTO EDIT  I liked this picture, because of the inside of the machine, and the clothes laying there with the care label explaining what's going on WASHING WASHING WASHING WASHING finished! dry the purple clothing. . dry and clean in the clothing closet!
